The female employee at the front desk was nice when we checked in. The male employee was not friendly at all. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!!
The location was terrible. There were homeless people all over the place. There was no AC in our room. The room was extremely small, the closet was bigger than the bathroom. The valet parking operator went through our belongings left in the car.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was neat and clean.
The walls are a bit thin so I could hear all the clamor in the hallway.

The location was great. Right by Union Square and a 10-minute walk from BART. Was able to get around the city easily from here. There coffee shop is awesome!
They are staffing on a shoestring. 3 employees working in concert to cover valet, front desk, and management roles. You can end up waiting to check in or get your question answered for longer than desired. The heater in all rooms does not work.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location ist perfect for a city trip. There were no more homeless people than other parts of the city, it was a safe part of San Francisco, close to the Hilton.
The hotel is really old, so the rooms are very noise and small. The bathroom is very tiny. This is not a 4-Star-hotel.

It is a very well kept hotel. Staff was amazing and location was close to shopping and public transport. I would definitely stay again
Room was smaller but actually really good size for San Francisco.

Valet parking was bad. Over 45 minute wait to get your car. You can’t walk because both cross streets were inundated with homeless that urinated all over the sidewalks. Not a safe area.

Extremely friendly staff.
The location. It was challenging walking around the area with all the homeless camping on the sidewalks.

Good location in downtown SF( The Tenderloin). Close to Union Square.
I was disappointed in the overall value. Too many addons expanded the overall cost. Tiny slow elevator. Stay on a lower floor.

The entire staff were very nice and helpful. Good location.
Uneven floors and walls. Clogged sink.

The staff.
Rooms were dated, small and sparse. Definitely not a 4-star hotel.

Location and the lobby where the two best things at this hotel however I don’t believe it adds up to a 4 star hotel. Complementary coffee was a nice treat.
Toilet seat was falling apart, there was construction very early on in the morning that nobody warned us about And it was right outside our window. Elevator was tiny definitely not worthy of a four-star hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. The free wifi worked well, and extra touches like the Keurig for coffee and an alarm clock with USB ports for charging phones and tablets were welcome finds. The hotel held our bags after check out until our flight.
The elevator was being fixed the last 2 days of our stay, making our room on the 8th floor (of 9) less than ideal. The hotel was near Union Square, but was actually in the Tenderloin area, with many homeless people around at night.

Great hotel bar.
Did not feel like it was in a safe area. Had to step over needles and human excrement regularly. Also was a big fight in the hotel one morning from 5-6am, and construction in hotel courtyard another morning that started at 7am. .
