The location was nice.
The walls were paper thin. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. There was no way to control the temp in the room. They had the furnace blasting all through the night and not even an open window would fix. Window led to inside of building.

Location. Location. Location. In the heart of China Town. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is in a great location - just inside San Francisco's Chinatown and a block or two away from the metro bus and cable-car lines. There are several small grocery/liquor stores nearby, as well as a laundromat. Plus the huge variety of restaurants.
They could have had a sign pointing to the morning coffee! They had a great tasting brew, once I discovered where it was on our last day.
