Great location
This was not a 4 Star Hotel. Very poor amenities. Staff were not attentive. Not very clean and had a weird smell.

Loved the entire experience!

Lovely vintage hotel which has been renovated.
The air conditioning system is not sufficient for the guest rooms or the lobby. It was incredibly hot in the lobby when I was waiting for my ride. In my room, every morning I would wake up perspiring as soon as the sun hit my windows. Unfortunate.

It has a charm of history, and is quite beautiful in the more contemporary renovations. Had wonderful staff- everyone was SUPER helpful and kind. Loved the managers wine hour!!!!
Parking was the only drawback. Had to to valet to avoid a ticket! (On street parking during the day is limited to two hours in that area.) But, the valet was wonderful- and made it a very enjoyable experience.

We were charged for items from the mini-bar that we did not consume (we didn't use it at all). These charges were applied before they could've reasonably cleaned our room. If you look through other reviews, this seems to be a consistent theme.

Great burger at the restaurant. Comfortable bed with great mattress.
Added fee of $23 upon registering. Would appreciate better lighting at the desk

Location, uniqueness.

Location was perfect! Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Parking is extremely expensive but on street parking was easy to find since the hotel is in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

Hotel charges $45 to park car on street. Staff charges extra for anything. We needed toiletries, there was sign on room to ask for Free ones. I asked for a couple & 1 day later charged me $30 without saying a word. I won’t ever stay there again
Gave us handicap took when Hotel had plenty of available rooms. Staff not friendly at all. Didn't make us feel comfortable. Check in took like 25 minutes even though there was no one else waiting. Won't stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Located in nice residential area. Room was pleasant and well decorated. Faced walls offering no sunshine. Moderately inconvenient to most D.C. places of work, government or sights. OK for the ambiance of DuPont Circle,

The king suite
Not really expect the fact one of the towels had food on it. Other than that it was perfect.

Great bed, very cute, non-corporate vibe.
The room was sparkling clean but had a dank, musty smell.

The staff was welcoming and pleasant.
I did not like the decor of the lobby.

Great location and decent price amenity fee is ridiculous. Would have given it all 9s if not for that.

Great building with character, nice rooms, comfortable bed, clean, nice staff, pretty good location.
The handles on shower were really hard to turn, and the room layout was a little off in that I had to be careful in the middle of the night to not bump into things walking to the bathroom. Both fairly minor cons.

The location is great. It is located in a quiet street in the Dupont Circle area. The rooms and the bedding were pretty nice, it was well maintained.
This is not a four star hotel, I would rate it a three star at the highest. I was also charged a mandatory fee for wireless internet and for unlimited local and long distance calls, which was over $20 a night. No other hotel makes this charge mandatory.

Great Licatikn
Crazy that per day incidental fee held on CC was more money than what the room itself cost..

We loved the proximity to everything and the cool respite it offered when we returned in the late afternoons and again after dinner. Staff was very helpful, welcoming and friendly.
I would have liked a way to make tea in my room.

Location is not bad.
Came to hotel at 2AM and checked in at 3:30AM because hotel computer system was down. Staff was extremely rude and lack of customer service. Our kids were miserable at hotel lobby waiting for the careless staff's mercy. The room smelled like crap too.
