The boutique atmosphere!
I was charged 20 dollars per night extra in feed at checkout which threw me off completely.

Room on the 14th floor, clean but lots of noise below. When I asked about it at the front desk upon checkout the woman was dismissive and unconcerned.

Good location. Rooms were fine.
The hotel was fine but this is not a 4 star hotel. It is a nice hotel, but this should be a 3 or 3.5 at most. Being called a 4 star hotel felt a little like a bait and switch.

The Gold Coast location was great: easy walking to good restaurants and lots of peace and quiet at night. The hotel bartender was really nice - makes excellent cocktails and super friendly!
My room did not have a window facing the outside (my window showed the fire escape) and the room did not have a microwave.

The lobby
Front desk staff wasn't very friendly

The location was perfect for short uber rides to everything we went to Chicago to see. Felt more personable than the big chain hotels.

They charged me a $20 "Urban Fee" for use of their unsecured internet, gym, etc. This is a rip off in itself.I paid something to you, when I book. However, I will not pay it twice.Plus, the skimpy restaurant menu is ridiculously overpriced.Terrible rating!
SEE ABOVE!!!!! Ridiculously overpriced on fees and restaurant. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

The area around the hotel was nice and convenient compared to its price
The front desk lady was unhelpful and rude when I was checking out. The hotel front desk also put me into a voicemail when I called for a room service. Very disappointing experience with a 4 star hotel

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Chicago. We were traveling with our 2 year old daughter and the location was perfect! Within walking distance to both the Mag Mile and Lincoln Park Zoo. Gorgeous hotel and would stay here again.
Upon arrival there was a bit of a party vibe in the lobby, but there were no issues with noise throughout our stay.

I was told they had no rooms and that I had to go to another hotel -- which they sent me to. Then, when I called afterwards to complain and inquire, the Revenue Manager told me they DID IN FACT have rooms and that the night desk manager made a mistake.
They refused to give me a room b/c I was a 1 night stay (all others were longer stays), even though they DID have rooms available. The desk clerk was not knowledgeable and could not solve my problem. Horrible experience.

Great establishment. The receptionist texted me to make sure everything was okay with the room shortly after arriving. I had an amazing experience.
Not at all; I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

The Location, and the lobby!

The location is good, and the gym equipment was better than I expected.
Room was tiny and smelled like smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Hallways outside of the room are very narrow. The hotel absolutely does NOT feel like a 4-star one.

the location was great. My daughter who lives in Chicago has an apartment 1 1/2 blocks from the hotel. It could not have been more convenient. Plus the red line train is only a block away. Awesome. T
The young lady at the reception desk could not find my reservation, even though I called the previous day to reconfirm it. After a long day of travel it was frustrating to be told "you do not have a reservation."

It was in a good location - walking distance to shopping , eating and theater but tucked away off the busy path.
Bathroom was very tight - you had to move into the room before you could shut the door. Low water pressure

Friendly staff. Great old building redone tastefully.

My room was very small but nice and clean. Slept like a baby. Love the blackout shades. clever use of space. The area around the hotel was very nice.

Location was great.
The evening staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Thr hotel rooms were much smaller than expected, especially for a 4 star hotel. Room was old and not entirely clean. Would not come back to this hotel nor recommend it to others.
